American Indian Resource Center, Bemidji. MN

A 10,700 SF facility located on the campus of Bemidji State Universitly, which includes staff offices for both the Indian Studies and Ojibwe Language programs. Designed to create a space where Native American scholars can come together to study, provide support for one another, and for cultural interaction.

  • Features classrooms, meeting rooms, kitchen, and cultural exhibit areas.
  • Showpiece of the facility is the Great Hall--a cedar-ribbed oval designed using heavy timber roof members to resemble awickiup, a traditional Ojibwe house.
